BMW, the German car captured the throne from Mercedes-Benz and became number luxury car maker in India in 2010. In 2011 saw the new X1 Sports Activity Vehicle being launched in India. The X1 helped to further boost sales for BMW. The new 5 Series and X3 to have helped to strengthen the sales and position for BMW in India.
Come April-May and we could see the next big launch from BMW in terms of the all new 3 series which replace the current model on sale. The new F30 will share similar design ques like the 5 Series and will be larger both outside and inside.
Thanks to our friends at Team BHP who have spotted the new 3 Series at the Mumbai port. BMW may have got the car for either final testing or may use the CBU route to launch the new 3 Series initially followed by the local CKD assembly later in the year.
The engine option will include the powerful yet fuel efficient 320d, 320i and 328i which will be mated to a 8 speed ZF gear box.
