Maruti Suzuki has raised prices of all its vehicles by 0.3-3.4 percent due to adverse foreign exchange movements and a rise in commodity prices. Prices will be up by 1000-2500 on the models depending on the price.
The price hike seems to be substantially very when compared to the previous hikes which were in tune from Rs. 5,000-15,000. Competition and falling sales may be the reasons why Maruti have resorted to small hike.
Maruti Suzuki will launch the all new Swift Dzire sedan on the first of February which will be followed by the Ertiga MPV in the first qauter of next financial year. Maruti unveiled the Ertiga at the 2012 Auto Expo which will mark the entry of Maruti in the MPV segment.
Maruti Suzuki also announced the launch of 800 and Alto replacements which will launched in the next couple of years.
