Czech manufacturer, SkodaAuto has released new pictures of the Skoda VisionD concept car. The VisionD concept was first unveiled at the Geneva motor show in March 2011 with more details unveiled at the this year’s Frankfurt International Motor Show where the company showcased the MissionL concept.
The new images Skoda is emphasizing the VisionD as a preview of future design language for all future Skoda models. The new concept hatchback will replace the Octavia internationally and features the new design language from Skoda.
In describing the mid-size hatchback in a press statement Skoda says, “The car has a strong, sporty look which conveys a beautiful simplicity and a youthful and contemporary appearance.”
In line with its 2018 growth strategy, the brand is gearing up, investing heavily in new models, markets and production capacities. Skoda intends to increase its sales to 1.5 million vehicles by 2018.
The design concept marks another big step into the future for ŠKODA. Its forms shapes are dynamic, stimulating the imagination of observers without provoking them, and offering an undistorted view of the outlook for cars made in Mladá Boleslav. The designers and engineers have paved the way for future success. This traditional Czech brand is now best placed to achieve its ambitious goals: economic growth coupled with new design full of potential, while preserving established traditional strengths such as great performance, value and precision.
