Bajaj has unveiled the new Boxer BM150, which is more than a bike aimed at customers who reside in semi-rural and rural areas where motorcycles are subjected to grueling operating conditions.
Bajaj have taken a leap forward by introducing a more powerful and torquey bike. A motorcycle in these areas does the work of a mini truck, form carrying milk cans to vegetables, riding with 4 people to carrying rice sacks.
Bajaj has provided a 150cc bike and a affordable price. Considering the growing requirements and rising incomes in rural the bike makes a lot sense.
The Boxer gets a 150cc engine borrowed from the Discover 150 power output of 11.8 Bhp@7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 12.26 Nm@5,000 rpm. The engine is mated to 4 speed gear box.
The bike is competitively priced at Rs. 42,000, which is very close to a 100cc bike offered by its competitors.
