Chevrolet India will launch the Beat Diesel on the 25th of July and this has been confirmed by a top official from GM.
“With fluctuation in fuel prices in India from time to time, the new diesel Beat, the prices of which will be announced at the launch will revolutionise the small car segment, with its engine capacity and fuel economy,” Karl Slym President and Managing Director General Motors said.
Chevrolet launched its 250th dealership in Tamil Nadu and plans to have 300 by end of 2011.
Chevrolet India is targeting to sell 1.4 lakh vehicles in all variants this year. The Beat diesel will be the smallest diesel engine in India and will be fuel efficient.
