We have got some updates on the Etios diesel. Toyota had announced that the diesel version will soon follow the Liva launch and was expected by year end. However as per one of our sources the Etios diesel will now be launched soon after the new Swift hits the road.
The car will get a 1364cc diesel engine with max power 75ps and torque in the range of 160Nm-170Nm. The car will not get a intercooler and will come with a fixed geometry turbo as opposed to variable geometry turbo.
The twins will have the same interiors and Etios sedan may get a more powerful engine.
The claimed ARAI Mileage around would around 22.5 – 23.5 Kmpl and pricing should be around Rs. 5.2- 6.1 Lakhs for the Liva diesel and Rs. 6 – 7 lakhs for the Etios Sedan.
