Škoda Auto India registered a growth of 69% in June 2011. Total sales for June’11 stood at 2,611 units against 1,639 units for June ’10.
Skoda is expected to launch more models in the next two years which will help the car maker to increase its market share.
Škoda is working on their dealership network and after-sales service to enhance customer experience and will launch the new Rapid by the last quarter of this year.

Škoda Auto India’s total sales for June’11 stood at 2611 units against 1639 units for June ’10.
Škoda is emerging as a strong global automobile player in its segment with sales of 2611 units, for the month of June, 2011. Mr. Thomas Kuehl, Board Member, Sales and Marketing, Škoda Auto India said, “We are extremely content with the customer response to our products. The 69 % growth this month acknowledges our efforts to offer consumers a value offering and great products. We have being growing consistently from the start of 2011 and will do so for the rest of the year. We will continue to focus on customer experience, dealership network and improved after-sales experience”
Škoda is working on their dealership network and after-sales service to enhance customer experience while reaching out to a larger section of customers across the country. The company currently has 81 showrooms across India.
The Czech auto major is aiming to double its sales globally by 2018 to at least 1.5 million units. Škoda is looking towards Indian market to contribute a considerable share percentage to their global sales figures.
Škoda has initiated a Yeti Performance Drive to demonstrate the key features of its award winning SUV, the Škoda Yeti. The event, which started from Chennai would extended to other markets including- Delhi-NCR, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad & Mumbai with multiple set-ups per city.
