VW India managed to sell 5,397 units in the month of June agrowth of 166% compared to the same month in 2010.
The Polo and Vento formed the bulk of the sales. Polo is the star performer of the month with 2,679 units sold. The all new Passat continues to be an attraction for Indian buyers with 197 units sold in June; 577 units sold in three months.

The Volkswagen brand sold 5397 vehicles in the month of June, a growth of 166 percent over 2032 vehicles sold in June 2010. The Polo and the Vento continue to be the backbone for the brand with a total of 5,136 units sold in June 2011.
The recently launched Passat with BlueMotion Technologies also saw an impressive response from customers with 197 units sold in June 2011.

Ltd. said “Despite the current slowdown in the market due to recent hikes in both fuel prices and lending rates, we have fared pretty well in the current month thanks to the strong product line up that we have in the market.”
