Kawasaki is getting aggressive with the Ninja sliblings. The Ninja 650R launch is expected around corner and bike is even sexy. The 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 250R gets only hotter and Kawasaki has done a great job with this all new model. The 2013 model was unveiled in Japan and we can expect it India in 2013. The bike draws a lot of styling ques with the Ninja ZX-10R
Kawasaki Ninja 250R features
Dual headlamps & floating windscreen
Aggressive dual headlamp design contributes to a strong Ninja supersport image.
Modern instrumentation
Complementing its large, analogue-style tachometer, the all-new instrument package has a multi-function LCD screen with numerous features, including a fuel gauge, dual trip meters, clock and Economical Riding Indicator. White LED backlighting ensures clear visibility at night.
Short-style silencer
Just like the Ninja ZX-10R and 6R, the Ninja 250 features a short-style silencer. Its complex cross-section enables the requisite volume without compromising the bike’s lean angle.
Fuel-injected 249 cm3 Parallel Twin engine
At the heart of the Ninja 250 is its new 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, 249 cm3 Parallel Twin engine. Smooth, torquey low-mid range response is complemented by strong acceleration at high rpm. Fuel injection ensures easy starting and the ideal amount of fuel in all conditions.
The new engine features a sleeveless aluminium die-cast cylinder with supersport-style plated bores. The cylinder block is very lightweight and offers excellent heat dissipation.
Increased engine performance care of new pistons, cylinder, crankcases and exhaust puts the Ninja 250 in a class of its own. Superior power and torque at all rpm, a vast top-speed advantage and class-leading acceleration performance ensure the Ninja 250 rides at the front of the pack.
Circuit-developed frame
New diamond-style frame with optimised rigidity offers the high level of chassis stability necessary for high-performance sport riding. Rubber front engine mounts significantly reduce engine vibration, contributing to the high-quality ride feel.
Combined with the stiffer new frame, revised damping settings and softer spring rates front and rear contribute to the Ninja 250’s nimble handling, and enable both increased comfort for city riding as well as a firmer feeling when sport riding.
Petal disc brakes & optional ABS
Supersport-style petal disc brakes front and rear ensure strong stopping power, sublime control and feel, and racy Ninja looks. For additional braking reassurance, ABS models with the latest-spec, compact and lightweight ABS units are also available.
Dual throttle valves
Like the Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-6R, the new Ninja 250 uses a second set of ECU-controlled throttle valves to precisely regulate intake airflow for natural, linear response, improved combustion efficiency and increased power.
Superb heat management
The large openings and fin design of the fairings – inspired by those of the Ninja ZX-14R – help promote airflow that assists with heat dissipation when moving. When stuck in traffic, innovative technology like the radiator fan cover directs hot engine air down and away from the rider, adding to increased rider comfort and the high-quality ride feel.
