BMW X1 facelift revealed, India launch by mid 2012

BMW will give the X1 a new life with the launch of facelift in 2012. The official unveiling will take place at the 2012 New York Auto show however the company has released pics and details of the X1 facelift.

The new X1 is much needed as the arch rival Audi Q3 has seen quite a good success since launch in the international markets. The Q3 will hit the Indian shores by mid 2012.

The facelifted X1 now gets a lot more chrome embellishments which gives the sports activity vehicle an upmarket look. With the facelift the exteriors and interiors have got decent upgrades.

The front bumper has been completely revised and gives X1 a meaner look. The kidney shaped grille gets silver finish and head lights assembly gets slight modifications with LED day time running lights as an optional package.

On the rear the bumper and the taillight assembly have also been given slight tweaks.

The interiors get a slight refresh with a redesigned centre console, chrome air vents and steering with silver finish.

The X1 could receive a price revision when launched in India.
