Yamaha sales up by 30% in August

After establishing a strong foothold in the premium segment bikes, India Yamaha Motors is set to script a new success story with the launch of its three commuter bikes – the SZ, SZ-X and YBR 125. Yamaha has registered a growth of 30% in sales during August 2010 as compared to the corresponding period last year. It sold 30,450 units in August 2010 as against 23,466 units sold in August 2009.
In domestic markets, the company sold 22,672 units in August 2010 as compared to 19,508 units in the same month last year. The export figures stood at 7,778 units in August 2010 while 3,958 units were exported in August 2009. More >
Yamaha June sales up

India Yamaha Motor has registered 32% growth in sales during June 2010 as compared to the corresponding period last year with its exciting product line-up and innovative marketing initiatives.
It sold 28,155 units in June 2010 as against 21,278 units sold in June 2009. In domestic markets, the company sold 21,157 units in June 2010 as compared to 17,878 units in the same month last year. Yamaha sales up in May

Yamaha India Motor has registered 17% growth in sales during May 2010 as compared to the corresponding period last year. It sold 25,033 units in May 2010 as against 21,388 units sold in May 2009.
In domestic markets, Yamaha sold 17,614 units in May 2010 as compared to 16,952 units in the same month last year. The export figures stood at 7,419 units in May 2010 while 4,436 units were exported in May 2009.
Yamaha India launches YBR 110

Yamaha India launched its new commuter segment motorcycle -YBR 110, in the Indian market, priced at Rs. 41,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Yamaha had launched the YBR as an concept model at the 2010 Delhi Auto Expo and wanted to launch a new bike at an affordable price that would give satisfactory mileage. Yamaha plans to replicate the success of FZ series with the launch of YBR in the entry level segment.
