Yamaha June sales up

India Yamaha Motor has registered 32% growth in sales during June 2010 as compared to the corresponding period last year with its exciting product line-up and innovative marketing initiatives.
It sold 28,155 units in June 2010 as against 21,278 units sold in June 2009. In domestic markets, the company sold 21,157 units in June 2010 as compared to 17,878 units in the same month last year. The export figures stood at 6,998 units in June 2010 while 3,400 units were exported in June 2009. More >
Yamaha sales up in May

Yamaha India Motor has registered 17% growth in sales during May 2010 as compared to the corresponding period last year. It sold 25,033 units in May 2010 as against 21,388 units sold in May 2009.
In domestic markets, Yamaha sold 17,614 units in May 2010 as compared to 16,952 units in the same month last year. The export figures stood at 7,419 units in May 2010 while 4,436 units were exported in May 2009.
Yamaha FZ16 & FZ-S get new colours

Riding on the grand success of its muscular and hottest-looking FZ16 and FZ-S bikes, India Yamaha is introducing new colour schemes and graphics to add more zing to their appeal.
Also, the company will communicate both FZ16 and FZ-S under a single style statement – Stylish Macho. The FZ series are very popular amongst youngsters and have been a prized possession of more than 1 lakh happy customers. In 2009 fiscal, the company sold 85,000 units of FZ16 & FZ-S, contributing to 40% of total sales volume.
Yamaha launches Limited edition of FZ Series

Yamaha launched limited edition of its ‘FZ’ series in three variants. The FZ-16 costs Rs. 66,500, FZ-S: Rs. 68,500, Fazer costs Rs. 73,500.
Yamaha Motor is looking for domestic sales of 2.2-2.5 lakh units this year and hopes to take it to 3 lakh units by 2010.

Yamaha India has introduced new offers to keep the sales momentum going for FZ-16 and FZ-S.
To maintain the steady sales growth even during monsoon, India Yamaha Motor has launched a couple of ‘Bumper’ offers for FZ-16 and FZ-S buyers.
The first is like a referral scheme where an existing Yamaha owner has to refer his friend(s) to buy the FZ-16 or FZ-S. The friend will end up saving Rs. 2,500 on the purchase and the existing owner gets a reward of Rs. 500 on every purchase for being a loyal customer of Yamaha.
The second offer is for students only. Students can fill a simple form and can avail a cash reward of Rs. 3,000 on purchase of a new Yamaha FZ-16 or FZ-S. Offer closes August 31 2009.

Yamaha launches the Fazer….

Yamaha Motor India launched the Yamaha Fazer. This is the third bike on the FZ platform. Like the FZ-16 and recently launched FZ-S, the Fazer will be powered by a four stroke, air cooled 153 cc engine that can produce a max output of 14 PS at 7500 rpm and 14 Nm of peak torque at 6500 rpm.
The new bike will sport full front fairing with mounted rearview mirrors and split head headlamps. The bike is available in four colours: Lava Red, Midnight Black, Flaming Orange and Electric Blue.
The Fazer, gets its DNA from the global Fazer series known for their sports touring, awesome looks. It has a “Look-at-me” appeal with the triple macho design concept giving it a concentrated form with excellent ergonomics. It has the beautifully contoured color – coordinated aerodynamic cowling to keep the wind blast at bay. With its comfortable riding position and seat the rider can enjoy a week end getaway or head off on a touring holiday.
Just like FZ16 and FZ-S, Fazer carries the Monocross suspension to ensure agile running performance and handling. Fazer has the “140/60-17” size rear radial tyre with a 60% aspect ratio contributes to better grip and handling stability.
The bike will be available at a price of Rs. 72,000 Ex-Showroom, Delhi.
