Toyota ‘Q’ World to come to Kolkata

Toyota Kirloskar Motor announced that it will hold the Toyota ‘Q’ World in Kolkata on 20th June 2010 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The event will be held at Topsel Toyota, 719, Anandpur, EM Bypass, near Ruby General Hospital, Kolkata from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Toyota ‘Q’ World will travel across India spanning a period of 4 months. The Delhi Auto Expo had customers coming to see the world premiere of the Etios concept and its latest technology; however the Toyota ‘Q’ World will take this experience to the customer.
Toyota provides Road Side Assistance to its customers

Toyota announced the start of its roadside assistance programme for its customers .Going a step further in offering the best in customer service, the programme is aimed at providing round the clock roadside assistance.
All vehicles invoiced (sold) from Toyota 01st April’10 onwards will be provided three years roadside assistance coverage absolutely free within 100 kms of the dealership.
The program will cover the customer against unforeseen incidents. Jumpstart of vehicle when the battery dies down , replacing a flat tyre with a spare one, providing fuel in case the vehicle runs out of it, retrieving spare key from home and towing immobilized vehicles to the nearest Toyota dealership are some of the services provided under this programme.
Toyota’s new Moonsoon campaign

Toyota India has kicked off its new Moonsoon campaign for all its customers across India. The campaign will start on 1st June 2010 and will spread across June – July 2010. It will be implemented across all Toyota dealerships as per their respective schedules.
As the monsoon hits the country, driving and maintenance of the cars require special attention. Along with the onset of monsoon comes humidity, moisture, low visibility water logging and pot holes on streets hence tough driving conditions with it.
With the Monsoon campaign, Toyota is inviting its customers to benefit from the free exclusive 20 Points Monsoon Check Up for their Toyota vehicles during the stipulated period. The Monsoon campaign will look into both general and seasonal maintenance like wiper blades, brake, electricals, tyres and other monsoon related parts.
Toyota plans R&D centre, engine plant in India

As Toyota is getting ready for its big launch of the Etios car series that is the hatch back and sedan version, they are also exploring the possibility of setting up a research and development facility and engine plant in India.
Managing Director of Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) Hiroshi Nakagawa said Toyota currently undertakes R&D in Japan and Thailand, among other places. He said one of the options being considered now is to set up a R&D facility in India. The proposal is at the discussion stage and it is his “wish and hope” that it would be established in future. Toyota launches ‘Special Edition’ of Innova

Toyota launched ‘Innova Special Edition’ to commemorate five successful years of the Innova in India. In addition to the existing Innova line-up, the Special Edition has been designed to give the vehicle an enhanced refined look, and boasts affordable luxury.
The new variant has Power Windows, Power Door Lock and Air-conditioning at a competitive price of Rs. 8,86,960 ex-showroom Delhi. Contributing to the new look are Bumpers, Front Grill, Hood Mould and Rear Door Garnish all in body colour, and Body Stripes with the special edition insignia. The new variant will be available in one colour- Premium Super White.
Toyota May sales up by 54%

Toyota India sales have shown a positive trend in spite of the recalls taking place all over the world. That shows how much confidence the people have in Toyota in India. Toyota Motor India has sold a total of 6,050 vehicles in May 2010 as against 3,924 vehicles during the same period last year, recording an increase of 54%. More >
