Tata Nano wins the Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) aard

Tata Nano has won the prestigious Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) award. In its fifth year running and modelled along the lines of the American, European and Japanese Car of the Year, the ICOTY award and Indian Motorcycle of the Year (IMOTY) award have been instituted by leading automotive magazines in India, in association with JK Tyre, to bring the auto industry in India at par internationally in recognising their efforts.
Fiat to Launch Punto CNG!

Fiat India is planning a compressed natural gas (CNG) variant for its small car Punto. “We are looking at the CNG option for Punto and we are looking at a launch by the second quarter of next year,” said Fiat India Automobiles (FIAL) President and CEO Rajeev Kapoor. He also mentioned that the fuel mix would comprise of CNG and petrol.
Answering a question as to why the company was launching a CNG-fuelled car rather than an LPG-car, Mr. Kapoor said that while the company had LPG cars in its stable, it felt that it was an expensive option. “CNG is a better fuel,” he said.
Tata to unveil Xover/Indicruz at 2010 Delhi auto expo

Tata Motors will showcase the much-awaited crossover vehicle Xover/Indicruz at the Indian Auto Expo in New Delhi this January. The vehicle, expected to be priced Rs. 6-8 lakh, will hit the markets in the first half of the 2010 and plug a vital gap in its portfolio.
Tata launches Indigo Manza

Tata Motors launched its new generation sedan, the Tata Indigo MANZA. Built on its new car platform, the Indigo MANZA succeeds the highly successful Tata Indigo, which became a best-seller in the very first year of its launch in 2003 and has since then sold close to 275,000 nos of the range.
The Indigo MANZA is an altogether new car. A complete new body on a new platform houses an all new interior and makes a bold styling statement. With a length of over 4.4m, a width of 1.7m, and a wheel base of 2,520mm, the sedan has grown in size and thus in interior space. The front wraparound three barreled headlamps– one of the most striking headlamp units on any car in India– add to the linearity while giving the Indigo MANZA a feline aggressive appearance.
Tata Manza Teaser, to launch on 14 October

Tata will launch the Manza (new Indigo) on October 14th in Mumbai. The teaser website for Manza is already up. One could win win a chauffeur driven Manza for by answering some simple questions on the website ….. Also there are some games for fun..
