Skoda to launch new Laura on 15th April

After VW doing heart transplant to its Jetta and Passat its Skoda turn to give a heart transplant to its Laura.Skoda will be launching the Laura with a 2.0L diesel heart with common rail and will give away Pumpe-Duse diesel technology. The 1.9TDI will be phased out and the new TDI CR will take its place. The 1.8TSI and the 2.0TDi on the L&K will also be tweaked to meet BSIV emission norms.
Skoda to launch Laura & Superb with new engines

Skoda will launch its Laura and Superb models with the new 139bhp 2-litre common-rail diesel that will also power the Passat and the latest Jetta. The older Pump Duse (PD) engines will be completely phased out as they do not meet the new Bharat Stage IV norms that go into effect from April 1, 2010 in 13 cities across India.
Maruti to launch Kizashi in India

Maruti Suzuki plans to launch the Kizashi, a crossover between a sports car and a sedan, in India next year. The car was launched earlier this year in the US and Japan.
Skoda Fabia to get revised 1.2-litre petrol engine

The new 1.2-litre petrol engine could be introduced on the India-spec Skoda Fabia by early-2010. This engine will also be offered on the VW Polo
skoda has started building a revised version of its 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine at its plant in Mladá Boleslav in the Czech Republic. And yes, this new engine is quite likely to find its way into the Skoda Fabia 1.2 that’s sold in India as well as the Volkswagen Polo that’ll go on sale here in 2010.
The revised 1.2-litre engine gets a cogged belt to drive the camshafts (instead of the old timing chain) and a lighter crankshaft. The benefits are said to be reduced weight, smoother running and better fuel efficiency.
