Fiat is now getting aggressive, and plan to launch more variants of their popular models Linea and Punto.
Fiat will launch CNG variant of the Punto in 2011. According to Motoroids, the Punto CNG will be launched in 2 variants Active and Dynamic. Initially only the Active will be launched and later Dynamic may follow depending on demand.
Fiat India had showcased these models at 2010 Delhi auto expo.

Armed with a 1.3 litre Multijet engine, powered by a Variable Geometry Turbocharger, the car will be India’s most powerful diesel hatchback.
Already setting the standard with its gorgeous looks and style, the Grande Punto 90 HP MULTIJET is poised to power through the competition and create a new benchmark for diesel hatchbacks in India. The Punto 90 HP MULTIJET’s engine will provide drivers with ‘class leading’ power of 93 PS and torque of 209 NM along with excellent drive dynamics – Ride, Handling, Braking and also superior fuel efficiency of 20km / l. The 1.3 litre MULTIJET engine, a validation of Fiat’s technological prowess, is also the only ‘locally produced’ Variable Geometry Diesel engine in this category.
The Grande Punto 90 HP MULTIJET will be priced at Rs 6.79 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
Fiat launches Punto 90HP

Fiat India launched a new diesel variant of its small car, Grande Punto with 90 horse power.
The more powerful Punto is priced at Rs 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom price, Delhi).
The company claimed that the car, with a 1.3-litre multijet engine, would give a mileage of 20 km per litre.
The new Punto with 90 hp is around 32,500 more expensive then the 75 hp emotion pack, which is the top of the line variant.

Fiat to launch linea 1.6 and Punto Sports

Fiat India is planning to go further with its expansion in more aggressive way. The company has plans of launching the Linea 1.6 Multijet and the sports edition of its popular model Punto by July end this year.

Fiat India expanded its Grande Punto range by adding two new BS4 compliant variants – Fiat 1.2 FIRE Dynamic and Fiat 1.2 FIRE Emotion, both petrol- engined premium hatchbacks to its portfolio. While the 1.2 FIRE Grande Punto Dynamic is priced at Rs. 4.57 lakh, the 1.2 FIRE Grande Punto Emotion is priced at Rs. 4.87 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)
