Bajaj to re-launch Scooters, new Pulsar in 2011

Bajaj auto which announced the exit from scooter market now plans to re-enter the growing and lucrative market. Bajaj auto is also planning to launch a new model from its Pulsar stable.
The MD said Bajaj was planning to re-launch scooters in the future, considering the growing market in this segment. It would also launch a new model of its Pulsar motorcycle next year, with a completely new look, advanced engine and advanced technology.
Considering the growing scooter market especially after the entry of Mahindra scooters like Rodeo, Duro and Flyte and also with TVS Wego, Bajaj will need to look at this segment seriously and do another Pulsar and Discover magic in the scoter market.
Bajaj Auto to focus on brands for growth

Bajaj Auto believes that its focus on brands will continue in the future which helped Bajaj get more sales especially the Pulsar & Discover.
Mr. Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director said that the key brands today were the Pulsar and Discover motorcycles as well as the RE three-wheeler. Each attribute of a Pulsar or Discover is ‘self-evident’ in terms of its price, cost and the customer concerned. “Strategy is the logic of magic while results are the magic of logic,” he said.

Bajaj launches Discover 150 at Rs. 46,000

Bajaj Auto launched the new Discover 150. The Discover 150 comes with a new 144cc DTS-i engine which gives an average mileage of 65 kmpl and a power output of 13.0 PS @ 7500 rpm. The new Discover is equipped with a 5-speed gear-box, electric start, nitrox suspension, disc-brakes at the front, wider-rear tyres.
Bajaj to launch cars on Renault platform

Bajaj Auto, which is planning launch four-wheelers in both passenger and commercial vehicle segment in 2012, will use the Renault platform for their production. The platform is under development, and it will share common aggregates, catering to requirements of passenger vehicles as well as goods carriers.
