Honda City gets Automatic option on S variant

Honda India is battling the odds out especially in the wake of absence of a diesel engine. The City which once had the reputation of a segment leader has lost its position to competition who are offering cars with diesel oil burners.

But Honda seems to have now trying to lure the drivers who love the Automatic gear box opposed to the manual who don’t mind the extra pinch of petrol for the comfortable drive. An automatic gear box is certainly a boon in the choking traffic conditions where the cars move inch by inch. This is a very common phenomenon in the major metros.

Honda is offering the automatic gearbox on the S variant which initially was offered only on the top end V variant. Honda offers 5 speed AT with Paddle shifters on the V variant.

The S AT Variant is priced at Rs. 909,000 (Ex-showroom Delhi).

Honda had launched the facelifted City in December 2011 and offered the automatic on the V variant only. The New Honda City now comes with enhanced ground clearance of 165 mm, 5mm more than its predecessor giving it an extra bit of comfort on bumpy roads. The introduction of new features like Cruise Control System and Turn indicators on ORVM in New City 1.5V and V (Sunroof) complement the look of the car and make it plush with a luxurious feel.

What Honda needs is a good diesel engine and very aggressive pricing. Honda we are waiting for the diesel City get, its soon.
