Bajaj Auto has seen sales going down with stiff competition. To counter and gain a stronger foothold in the commuter segment, Bajaj has introduced the new Platina ES. The company claims it to be a completely new product developed on a new platform with many technical changes.

The new Platina ES comes with a new 102 cc petrol engine with DTS-i technology which helps return 96.9 kmpl fuel efficiency making it World’s Most Fuel Efficient Bike. The motorcycle delivers max power of 8.2 ps @ 7500 rpm and max torque of 8.6 Nm @ 5000 RPM.

To make starting more easy, Bajaj has added an electric switch.

Other changes include –

  • New long travel telescopic front suspension and SNS (double spring) rear suspension
  • Long wheelbase
  • Three inch wide rear tyres for superior grip and control on uneven roads
  • New side panels, new exhaust, a refreshed headlamp design, new graphics and alloy wheels as standard
  • The bike also offers the longest seat in the segment making it the perfect commuter motorcycle.
