Hi Tellis, there was some buzz from Bajaj that they would launch the Ninja 600 in India. Dont know how true it is. Currently the market for 600cc bikes is small and also assembling them in India is very expensive.. so may if you want now you will have to take risk & go for the grey import. else you could look at the Kawaski Ninja 250..
