New Gen Hyundai i10 caught testing, launch in 2014

In 2010 Hyundai launched the facelifted i10 in India tagged as the Next Gen i10. Come 2014 the South Korean car maker will launch the new generation i10. There are news about the 2nd generation i10 to be based on the current generation modified platform.

From the spy pics is evident that the new gen i10 will feature a new front bumper with a large air intake and sweptback headlights and a sloping roofline. The rear tailamps will get modest updates we hope Hyundai puts in the LED technology. Hyundai has been launching products with value for money proportion and segment first features.

Hyundai is currently the second largest car maker in terms of sales. The Chennai plant is the mother plant of the i10. The next generation i10 will also be made at the Chennai and serve 140 countries from here.

Hyundai will power the i10 with a new 1 litre Kappa engine which is under development, 1.2 litre Kappa engine and most importantly with a 1.1 or 1 litre diesel engine.Power and Torque figures could be increased which will make the  car more peppy.

The new i10 could be fully unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show and should debut in Europe early in 2014.
