Maruti Suzuki is in the final stages of testing the all new car which will replace the ageing Maruti 800 and also the Alto F8 (800cc variant). Back in July the M800 replacement was first seen testing around the Maruti factory. Now thanks to our friends at Oncars who have snapped clear images of the new car.

The car (Codenamed YE3) will share the underpinnings of the existing Alto but will be modified to suit the new design. From the images we can conclude the Car will be taller and will have profile quite similar to the Alto K10.

The car gets a hexagonal shaped air dam at the front and grille with a single chore slot with the Suzuki badge at the centre. The headlight seems to be a mix of the Alto K10 and also bears a hint of the Ford Figo. The bonnet gets sweeping lines and bumper gets nicely designed fins which resembles front skirts.

On the sides the car looks like a typical Maruti and there nothing much besides the flared wheel arches. Tyres seem to be 12 inch which means it could probably share the wheels with the current Alto.

The new 800 will be powered by the same 796cc three-cylinder motor (F8D) from the Alto which has been modified to meet the BS4 emission norms. The car will boast all-new interiors and will be a little bit more spacious than before. From the pics the tall boy design will be roomier and will be priced in the range of Rs.2.5-3.5 lakhs.
