GOW Exclusive: Hyundai Verna to get updated suspension

Hyundai plans to give some tweaks the Verna sedan. According to our sources the company plans to launch the car with new suspension which will improve the drive and handling.

The Verna is currently the segment leader but the many customers have complained of bouncing ride and slight in stability at high speeds. The South Korean car maker has worked on the same and tweaked to rectify.

Hyundai is keeping the Verna updated constantly. In May the company launched the Verna EX and also made the reverse camera feature standard on all variants. The company is also working on a lower cost Automatic variant which will to tap the growing demand for automatic lovers.

The new Fluidic Verna is available with four engine options – 1.4 litre VTVT delivering 107PS@6300rpm of maximum power and 13.8Kgm@5000rpm of peak torque, the petrol 1.6 litre VTVT engine with 123PS@6300rpm maximum power and 15.8@4200rpm peak torque, the Common Rail diesel 1.4 litre CRDi with 90PS@4000rpm max power and 22.43kgm@1750 – 2750rpm of peak torque and the diesel 1.6 litre VGT CRDi, with range topping 128@4000rpm max power and 26.5kgm@1900-2750rpm of peak torque.

Both the 1.6 litre petrol and the diesel engines are mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission while the manual transmission option is available with all the four engine options.
