2009 editions of Pulsar 150 & 180 now in Goa

The 2009 Edition of the new Pulsar 150 and 180 has been launched and available at Bajaj Auto Dealership throughout Goa.

New features of the Pulsar 180 DTSi include split seats, clip on handle bar, anti scratch tank pad, two piece grab rail, aerodynamic tank flaps an electric start. The electrical system now comes with 12V full DC which help providing unifom illumination at variable engine speeds.

There is no engine change and it comes with the same 178.6 cc DTSi engine, however the power is tweaked to 17.02 ps and delivers a torque of 14.22 Nm. The new Pulsar 180 is priced at Rs. 62,331 ex-showroom, insurance Rs. 1,536 and road tax of Rs. 4,364.

The new Pulsar 150 comes with all black engine and aerodynamic tank flaps, and a longer wheelbase of 1320mm which is good for handling.The 149.01cc engine delievers a power of 14.09 ps and a torque of 12.76 @ 6500 Nm.

The Pulsar 150 is priced at Rs. 59,577 Ex-showroom Goa, insurance is Rs. 1,432 and road tax is 4,331.

Yamaha opens new showroom in Margoa

Yamaha opened its 3rd dealer in Goa in Margoa at Aquem by the name Karpe Yamaha. All Yamaha enthusiasts from south Goa had to buy their Yamaha from either Panjim or Mapusa. The new showrooom will have sales, service and spares all under one roof. The showroom has been a long-pending demand of Yamaha lovers all across south Goa.

The FZ 16 and FZ-S is in most demand which has bagged the most awards in the 150cc category and was the bike of the year for 2008. The FZ 16 comes with 153cc engine with 14 ps of power and 14 Nm torque. The FZ-S is available in two colours yellow streak and silver tech while FZ-16 in 3 colours.

According to the proprietor of Karpe Yamaha, Mr Karpe the response has been overwhelming and people of south Goa are happy that they do not have to travel to Panjim or Mapusa for sales and service. Other Yamaha models that are popular are Gladiator, Alba, G5, Crux, and YZF R15.
