Honda launches VFR1200F in India

Honda Motorcycles India have launched the VFR1200F in India. The bike is priced at Rs. 17.5 lakh ex-showroom Delhi.
The bike sports a 1237cc, liquid cooled V-4 engine which generates a maximum power of 172 bhp.
Hyundai Avente launched in korea

Hyundai Motor Company revealed its all-new Avante compact sedan, its best-selling model worldwide, a week before official sales begin in Korea. The exterior of the new Avante was unveiled at the Busan Motor Show in April.
“Since the first-generation model was launched in 1990, the Avante reached cumulative sales of 6 million units worldwide and received high recognition from a number of world renowned car-rating agencies
This car is truly a powerful brand that represents not only Hyundai Motor but the Republic of Korea,” Steve S. Suzuki Alto at Indonesia auto show

Suzuki Indonesia have showcased the new Alto with K-Series engine in Indonesia. Indonesia in the 3rd largest two wheeler market after China and India. Indonesia was still an MPV market and auto makers would manufacture the MPV’s in Indonesia due to the incentives, similar to small cars in India.
But with the launch of Chevrolet Beat and other small cars like Daihatsu which gaining momentum, Suzuki too wants to get into the small car market in Indonesia.
Audi A7 launched

The Audi A7 Sportback has been officially launched. It is a big four-door coupe type of car with a hatch, like the Porsche Panamera. The A7 will feature a lightweight body made with aluminum components and high-tech steels.
There will be a choice of four direct-injection V6 engines: the 3.0 TFSI supercharged unit producing 300 hp/440 Nm, a 2.8 FSI engine with 204 hp/280 Nm and two versions of the 3.0 TDI engine; one with 245 hp/500 Nm and another with 204 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The latter boasts amazing fuel consumption of 5.3 L/100 km while only producing 139 g/km of CO2, and is the eco champion of the range.
The engines can be had with Multitronic CVT and FWD or the seven-speed S tronic (dual-clutch) with quattro AWD. The latest quattro system has a crown-gear center differential and torque vectoring. Brake recuperation and start-stop is standard across the range.
Chevrolet announce Volt prices

Chevrolet announced the prices of the much awaited Volt, pricing the plug-in hybrid car at $41,000 .A federal tax credit can reduce the net cost of the Volt to $33,500, and a 36-month lease will be available for $350 a month with $2,500 due at the signing.
A basic Volt comes with Bluetooth and sat navigation but buyers can add leather seats and steering wheel, heated seats, rear camera, polished wheels and park assist.
Unlike conventional hybrids such as the Prius, the Volt’s petrol engine never powers the wheels and is only used to top the battery up after its 40-mile range has been exhausted.
Production of the Volt will begin in September, and the car will initially be sold in California, New York, Michigan, Connecticut, Texas, New Jersey and Washington, D.C., G.M. said.
Toyota Holds Fortuner Boot camp

Toyota Motor conducted a unique Fortuner 4WD (four wheel drive) Boot camp for the owners of India’s most successful SUV, the Toyota Fortuner. This exclusive off-roading experience was held at a specially designed course off the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, and included an introduction to 4X4 driving basics, eco-friendly practices and fuel-saving techniques.
The customers attending the camp were able to learn and enjoy the pleasures of off-roading that only a capable 4 X 4 vehicle like the Toyota Fortuner can offer. Highly experienced instructors held both theoretical and practical sessions that comprised steep ascends, steep descends, stone crawling (along the river bed) and overcoming obstacles.
